What Does Entertaiment Mean?

Entertaiment is a broad term, and it can mean different things to different people. Some forms of entertainment are uplifting, while others may be offensive. While there are many reasons for entertainment to be a necessary part of society, it can also have negative effects when not properly regulated. The word “entertainment” has roots in the medieval Latin intertenere, which meant “to hold inside.” This suggests that entertainment may have more physiological connotations, such as a reaction in the stomach or intestines, rather than the brain.
