The Model T has had a long history of customization and adaptations. The most notable conversion was for World War I service, when a Model T became an ambulance. Famous people such as Walt Disney and Ernest Hemmingway drove these ambulances. These ambulances could go places no other vehicle could go. The Model T’s strength and ability to drive on rough terrain allowed it to get unstuck and rescue soldiers. In addition, they could carry 1,300 pounds.

Panhard-Levassor

Panhard-Levassor Automobile is a French company that has a long history. Founded in 1887, it became one of the earliest manufacturers of automobiles. In addition to automobiles, Panhard also manufactured military and light tactical vehicles. Today, it is part of Renault Trucks Defense. It was acquired by Renault in 2005 and merged with the ACMAT brand in 2012. In 2016, the company rebranded the two brands as Arquus.

Benz Motorwagen

Benz’s first automobile, the Model 3, first made its wide-scale debut at the 1889 World’s Fair in Paris. A total of 25 Motorwagens were produced between 1886 and 1893. Although its design is based on a bicycle, the Benz Motorwagen has a few notable differences. The car’s power is primarily derived from a single cylinder and uses a large horizontal flywheel to stabilize the power output.

Daimler-Maybach engine

The Daimler-Maybach engine was first used in automobiles in the mid-1880s. It was developed by the German industrialist Wilhelm Maybach and his friend, Gottlieb Daimler. Their innovative ideas allowed for the development of the high-speed internal combustion engine in 1884. In addition, they developed numerous solutions for the advancement of motor vehicles.
